    Inside the learning

    Exam question practice

Identify the useful information in a question, choose a relationship and show the working.

Example question: calculate average speed for a walker travelling 120 metres in 60 seconds.

Turn the question into clear steps.

    • Pick out the distance travelled and the time taken: 120 metres and 60 seconds.
    • Choose average speed = distance ÷ time, then substitute the numbers.
    • Write 2 m/s with the answer. A correct number alone does not explain the quantity.

Illustrative learning material. Not an exam-board question or mark scheme.

The materials and pace are discussed around your child’s learning needs. Ask Sanober how this approach could support your child’s course.
